Basic usage
Simply open TempMail and an address is generated automatically. No sign-up, no password, no personal information required. Copy the address with the "Copy Address" button and paste it into any sign-up form.
Free addresses last 60 minutes from generation. Premium addresses can be set to any TTL from 10 minutes to 30 days. The expiry countdown is shown on your inbox page.
Most emails arrive within 1–5 seconds via our WebSocket delivery system. Some senders (particularly large email service providers) add their own internal delays of up to 5 minutes before delivering to new addresses.
Yes — attachments up to 10 MB are supported. Image attachments (PNG, JPG, GIF) are rendered inline. Other file types are shown as download links. Attachments are deleted along with the message when the address expires.
No. TempMail is receive-only by design. Outbound SMTP is not supported and is not planned. This is deliberate — it keeps the service focused and prevents abuse.
Fixing common issues
First confirm your address hasn't expired — check the countdown timer. Then verify you copied the full address correctly, including the domain. Some senders take up to 5 minutes to deliver. If mail still hasn't arrived after 10 minutes, try generating a new address and repeating the sign-up.
Some services maintain blocklists of known disposable email domains. Upgrading to Premium and using a custom domain bypasses these blocklists entirely, since your domain won't be on any public list.
Unfortunately no. When an address expires, all data is permanently deleted with no recovery path. This is a core privacy feature. We recommend upgrading to Premium to set longer TTLs for time-sensitive registrations.
The inbox refreshes via WebSocket. If it appears stuck, check your internet connection, try a hard-refresh (Ctrl+Shift+R / Cmd+Shift+R), or disable any browser extensions that might be blocking WebSocket connections (such as some ad-blockers).
Billing & account management
Click "Upgrade to Premium" from any page, choose monthly or annual billing, and enter your payment details. Your Premium features activate instantly after payment. No contract, cancel anytime.
Log in to your Premium dashboard, go to Billing, and click Cancel Subscription. You'll retain Premium features until the end of your current billing period. We do not offer partial-month refunds.
Log in to your Premium dashboard and navigate to API Keys. You can generate, view, rotate, and revoke keys from that page. Never share your API key — treat it like a password.
